Adam Sandler That’s My Boy
A father moves in with his son right before his wedding and soon begins feuding with his daughter-in-law. That’s My Boy, originally I Hate You Dad, is co-directed by Sean Anders & John Morris, both behind Sex Drive previously, with Anders the director and Morris making his directorial debut this time around. The screenplay was written by newcomer David Caspe (“Happy Endings”), with rewrites by Ken Marino & David Wain (both of The Ten, Role Models, Wanderlust). Happy Madison Productions and Columbia Pictures are bringing That’s My Boy to theaters starting on June 15th right in the middle of the summer. Worth seeing?
Columbia has debuted a new red band trailer via MTV for the summer comedy That’s My Boy, originally titled I Hate You Dad, starring Adam Sandler as a terrible, terrible father of a now grown-up kid who’s getting married, played by Andy Samberg. The concept on paper sounds funny, a father and son sparring over random crap, almost like Hot Rod meets Step Brothers, but it looks much worse than both of those. The cast includes: Leighton Meester, James Caan, Susan Sarandon, Milo Ventimiglia and Will Forte, but none of them make a difference. Have fun and try to laugh if you can.
