Watch This: Pixar’s Short Film ‘Day & Night’ Making Of Video
Our friends from Upcoming Pixar found this awesome little Making Of featurette for Pixar’s newest short film Day & Night that’s playing in front of Toy Story 3 later this month. We haven’t mentioned this short since the first photo arrived in March, but I’ve seen the short film, and it’s great, and you’ll all see it too in theaters with Toy Story 3 in a few weeks. It was directed by storyboard artist & character designer Teddy Newton, who you’ll see in this video (and who voices the Chatter Telephone in Toy Story 3). It’s always so cool to see the creative process behind the films at Pixar, since it’s always so magical there. Watch & enjoy!
Watch the Making Of Featurette for the Pixar’s Day & Night:
Here’s the official Day & Night plot synopsis: “When Day, a sunny fellow, encounters Night, a stranger of distinctly darker moods, sparks fly! Day and Night are frightened and suspicious of each other at first, and quickly get off on the wrong foot. But as they discover each other’s unique qualities — and come to realize that each of them offers a different window onto the same world — the friendship helps both to gain a new perspective.” I saw this when I was at ShoWest to see Toy Story 3 (read my reaction) and it’s a very creative and fun little short. Be sure to go see Toy Story 3 starting on June 18th to catch this short playing in front!
